This is one of Provo's most reliable all-suite resorts, offering family-friendly lodging and a enviable location right on prime Grace Bay beachfront. The property is pillowed in manicured gardens, the centerpiece of which is a large pool enveloped in tropical foliage. It's a pretty big place, with 99 units, but the spacious suites are situated in intimate groupings of low-rise buildings spread out over the property. Guests have a choice of oceanfront, oceanview, studio, or garden-view studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites. Suites have balconies or patios and good-size kitchenettes. The interiors have been nicely outfitted with comfortable, well-maintained furnishings. Note that the Royal West Indies is next door to Club Med, so if you're staying on the resort's eastern flank, amplified disco music may waft over at times. The resort's solid poolside restaurant, Pelican Cay, serves up tasty island fare like South Caicos conch chowder and fish curry, as well as internationally flavored dishes like lamb Provençal and pasta pesto primavera—it's open breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
