Specializing in laidback luxury, the West Bay Club is now under the expert management of the Grace Bay Club. Little has changed, however, other than bumped-up rates and a snappy new tented beach bar serving lunch and afternoon snacks. With 37 oceanfront suites and 20 garden-view studios, West Bay has some of Grace Bay's largest and nicest rooms, with marble floors and stainless-steel kitchens (studios and one-bedroom ocean-view suites have kitchenettes), terraces, huge bathrooms, and lots of closets. Many suites have living rooms with pullout sofas. A stay here is all about those oversize rooms and that sumptuous Grace Bay location; if you want a great big pool or a splashy destination restaurant, go elsewhere. (And if you want pulsing nightlife action, just boogie over to the Gansevoort, next door). A intriguing new restaurant is in the house, however, the Noodle Bar + Kitchen, bringing Asian-style noodles to Grace Bay.
