Since 1996, Chef Cosimo Tipodi, native of Calabria, Italy, has been serving Southern Italian food in a former home known as the "Glass House" on Provo's Grace Bay Road. It's a welcome departure from all that island food, although local influences sneak in in pleasurable little ways. Conch, for example, shows up in a four-cheese sauce with linguine, and market-fresh fish shares star billing (with seasonal lobster and shrimp) in the grilled Trio Veneziano. Otherwise, expect a roster of expertly prepared classics, like penne puttanesca, Caprese salad, veal scaloppine, and lasagne. And now downstairs, in the Italian Garden, Chef Cosimo has opened the Bella Luna Pizzeria, serving brick-oven, hand-stretched, thin-crust pizzas (Monday through Saturday from 6pm to close). Reservations are recommended.
