For nearly 30 years, Chef Cosimo Tipodi, native of Calabria, Italy, has been serving southern Italian food in "the glass house" on Provo's Grace Bay Road. It's a welcome departure from all that island food, but local influences sneak in in pleasurable little ways. Conch, for example, shows up in a four-cheese sauce with linguine, and market-fresh fish shares star billing (with seasonal lobster and shrimp) in the grilled Trio Veneziano. Otherwise, expect a roster of expertly prepared classics, like penne puttanesca, Caprese salad, veal scaloppine, and lasagne. And now downstairs, in the Italian Garden, Chef Cosimo has opened Bella Luna Pizzeria, serving brick-oven, hand-stretched, thin-crust pizzas (Mon–Sat; 6pm–closing).
