The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant

The Blue Dragon, where white lanterns subtly levitate over the dining hall, is easy to miss and consequently overshadowed by other choices—you'll find it past the portal to Dark Universe and built into the base of the Helios Grand hotel—but it rewards with a greatest hits of various Asian favorites like dim sum (pork soup dumplings, wontons in Chili Oil, garlic-shrimp siu mai), noodle plates like dan dan noodles or ramen, and more elaborate plates like khao soi, orange chicken, and crispy fried snapper with Japanese barbecue sauce. The spicy stuff actually has a kick, and the flavors are richer than typical theme park fare.

There's a full bar you can also sit at, but of course, as with all of Epic Universe's restaurants, there's a selection of mocktails and cocktails exclusive to this location. One of the most interesting mocktails is the Golden Dragon which blends cream of coconut, lime juice, turmeric syrup, pineapple juice, jalapeño essence, and ground ginger for a really interesting combination of flavors. For dessert, the standout is Banana Napoleon (miso butterscotch bananas, 5-spice wontons, vanilla ice cream).
