Follow the siren call of the enormous roadside mermaid—you won’t be dashed onto the rocks. This big ol’ fish house and bar with great bay views is a fine spot for a snack, a beer, or breakfast/ lunch/dinner. A good-value menu focuses mainly on seafood; in season, lobster is the way to go. Other fare includes the standard clam chowder, fried shrimp, and doughy conch fritters. For those tired of fish, the menu offers a few beef options, but I say the simpler the better. Food is definitely trumped by ambience. The outside bar has live music every evening and a limited menu of snacks and light fare.
