Upper Keys institution Marker 88 has been pleasing locals and visitors since 1967. New chefs and owners recently infused a new life into the premises and the menu, making use of fresh produce, local ingredients, and fish caught in local waters. Among the menu highlights are the crispy yellowtail meunière, sautéed and finished with a Key lime butter; and onion-crusted mahi-mahi in a sauce of butter, white wine, and Key lime juice. The waitresses are pleasant enough but can require a bit of patience. The food, though—not to mention the spectacular Gulf views—is worth it.
