Ziggie and Mad Dog’s

]When former Miami Dolphins player Jim Mandich, aka Mad Dog, bought Ziggie’s Crab Shack from Sigmund “Ziggie” Stockie, he decided to keep the ex-owner’s name up there with his own. Mandich passed away in 2011, but his carnivorous (and football) legacy lives on at this Keys landmark. In fact, many famous athletes make a pilgrimage here when passing through. Dishes are pricey, but many, like the cowboy cut bone-in, and the truffle mac and cheese, are massive, so don’t be shy about sharing. The old school beef stroganoff is a bargain and a welcome throwback. Service is friendly and the vibe is fun.
