Peruvian hospitality group Casa Andina has gone downhill in recent years, though its properties, including this mountain-chalet type hotel that is part of its elite premium collection group, are still a great value and in a nice setting. With so many other hotels moving into the area, this great but not spectacular hotel was forced to lower its prices and give its high-ceilinged rooms a face-lift in the first half of 2016, bringing the decor and amenities up to speed. The range of amenities includes an Andean-styled spa and a planetarium, a wonderful addition for the area’s clear skies.
