The highs include well-manicured gardens full of flowers and hummingbirds, great views of the ruins and surrounding mountains, and a fireplace lounge for chilly nights. The rooms have a cookie-cutter feel, though they have amenities that are hard to come by here, like cable TV and reliable Wi-Fi. A decent restaurant on the grounds can pack you a lunch for Machu Picchu.
