IFK Lodge
This relaxed, reasonably priced lodge on the banks of the Urubamba River is a total find. Decorated with rough-hewn, hand-carved furnishings, the rooms feature earthy tones with splashes of bright Andean textiles. Rooms and common areas have phenomenal views of the surrounding mountains, while strategically placed plants and flowers, both inside and out, bring plenty of life to the rustic setting. The lodge’s restaurant, Nunay, with a fireplace and terrace overlooking the river, is driven by the region’s incredible ingredients, which are collected wild and bought from nearby farmers. The lodge occasionally sets up pachamanca, traditional Andean feasts, in the garden.
