Restaurants in Verde Valley
In Camp Verde, I always stop at the Thanks a Latte coffee shop, 348 S. Main St. (www.greenvalleyroastingcompany.com; tel. 928/567-6450) on the road out of town. It’s the home of the terrific local coffee roasters, Green Valley. If you need some espresso to get you through the rest of the day, the best place to get it is at Cottonwood’s Crema Coffee & Creamery, 917 N. Main St. (www.cremacottonwood.com; tel. 928/649-5785). Crema also sells sandwiches, soup, pastries, and gelato; it’s open Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 4pm.

Although this place is geared primarily toward the young [‘]uns, if you’re young at heart, you may enjoy the Blazin’…$$Cottonwood - Light Fare
Old Town Café
Good pastries, salads, and sandwiches, such as a grilled panini of smoked turkey, spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella, make Old Town my favorite lunch spot in the Verde Valley. It’s a bright, cheery little cafe with a handful of tables.$Cottonwood
