Blair’s Cove

This has to be one of the most picturesque dining rooms in Ireland—a former barn, which may have originated as an 18th-century watchtower. The menu isn’t cutting-edge, but that’s kind of the point. Instead what you get (after a charmingly retro buffet of appetizers) are traditional Irish flavors elegantly updated, such as rack of lamb with garlic and butterbean, or hake served with miso beurre blanc. Desserts are rich and delicious. If you want to make even more of a night of it, they also offer B&B lodging for around €190 to €260 per night, and self-catering cottages from upwards of €825 per week.
