The location of Rudder’s couldn’t be better: set right on the waterfront in a former warehouse, the feel is refurbished industrial with a long wooden bar and views inside of either fermentation tanks or through the windows of wharves and fishing boats. The sizeable deck overlooks the busy harbor very close to the ferry terminal. On the menu: comfort food and seafood, either fried or steamed. Sometimes there’s live music (see the website). Service can be quite slow, so go elsewhere if you’re in a rush.
