Hotel Alda Mercado de Zamora
This former Banco de España building from the 19th century was transformed into a rich merchant’s mansion in the early 20th century and later served as a newspaper headquarters. At the opening of the 21st century, it was converted into a boutique hotel, retaining the original Art Nouveau decoration but upgrading the interiors with sumptuous bathrooms furnishings that complemented the Modernista architecture. Even the smallest rooms are spacious and airy, and the largest rooms are huge. Across from the city food market, the location is ideal for sightseeing.
