Zurich’s main classical venue had its first concert in 1895, with Brahms conducting. Home to the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, it also draws celebrated orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloists to play here. Many seats are sold by subscription, so reservations are essential. The big hall holds 1,500, and the small hall holds 700.
