Travelers hoping to see as much of the Pacific Northwest's natural splendor as possible on one trip have an intriguing new option from American Cruise Lines.

The company's latest offering is an itinerary combining a cruise along Washington State's coast with guided, land-based visits to all three of the state's national parks: Mount Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades.

Starting and ending in Tacoma, the trip begins with 7 days in the parks, followed by 8 days cruising throughout Puget Sound, Friday Harbor, and the San Juan Islands.

During the cruise part, accommodations are on the line's American Constitution ship or American Constellation ship, each of which can carry 170 passengers. All of them get to stay in a cabin with a private balcony.

The preceding parks portion of the journey starts with a truckload of scenic vistas at Mount Rainier National Park before continuing on to the beaches and rainforest of Olympic National Park. Then comes North Cascades National Park with its mighty peaks, crystalline lakes, impressive waterfalls, and hundreds of glaciers.

Guided tours, transportation, and hotels—including a stay at the Olympic Lodge on the Olympic Peninsula—are all included in the fare.

The 8-day cruise that follows the land-based portion shows off the state's coastal beauty and wildlife; keep your eyes peeled for whales when you're on that private balcony. At stops such as Port Angeles and Port Townsend you'll have the chance to take part in activities such as hiking, kayaking, and seaplane rides.

Back on the ship, your fare covers onboard dining, cocktails, and entertainment.

The 15-day "Northwest National Parks" itinerary from American Cruise Lines launches in September 2026. Prices start at $12,875 per person.

Beyond this latest addition, the company now has several offerings available for small-ship cruises on U.S. rivers and coastlines that pair with guided, land-based tours of national parks including Yellowstone, Great Smoky Mountains, and Denali.
