The deal includes round-trip airfare from Miami on TAM Airlines, five-nights at the Copacabana Rio Hotel, round-trip airport transfers and daily breakfast. The package is priced from a super low $635. This rate is valid for travel Mondays to Wednesdays until May 30 and again from August 18 to November 30, 2006. Taxes are additional.

General Tours (tel. 800/221-2216; www.generaltours.com) features an "Along the Amazon to Rio" 11-day tour priced from $2249 per person. It includes round-trip airfare from the Miami (other departure cities available, all domestic flights within Brazil, airport transfers, six nights' accommodation in hotels and three-nights in an outside cabin on the Amazon Clipper or the Amazon Clipper Premium, daily breakfast, three lunches, and four dinners. Visit Manaus, Amazon River and Rainforest, Novo Airao, Lake Acajatuba and Rio de Janeiro Enjoy rainforest walks with a naturalist to observe the exquisite flora and fauna, visit with an indigenous "caboclo" family to experience the local way of life, take an early morning canoe trip on Lake January for bird watching and enjoy a jeep ride through the Tijuca Forest to the top of Corcovado.

This price is valid for departures from May 1 to June 22 and from August 21 to December 7, 2006. Other departure cities are available but the add-on is rather pricey, starting at $395 from New York and going up to $690 from Portland, OR.

Their "Rio de Janeiro and Buzios" special allows you to enjoy the beaches the way that the Rio native Cariocas do. Travel between May 1 and June 22 or from August 21 to December 7, 2006 and enjoy round-trip airfare from Miami, airline fuel surcharges, four-nights accommodation at the Savoy Othon Hotel in Rio and two nights at the Pousada La Chimere in Buzios, daily breakfast, round-trip airport transfers, minibus transportation between Rio and Buzios (three hours) and hotel taxes.
