Frommer's Review
The Hyatt Regency's 112 smart new apartment suites and a gymnasium and health spa facility to die for should make you sit up and take notice. The new suites contain kitchenettes, balconies, and swanky bathrooms; the 20 roomy corner suites with wraparound balconies are the pick of the bunch. Connecting rooms make them perfect for families or couples traveling together. Residence suites have kitchens. By the end of 2007, 274 of the original hotel rooms were refurbished and upgraded. It has more of a boutiquey, personalized style than some of the other Inner City biggies -- an unassuming elegance that's very easy to feel comfortable in. Like most of its competitors, it offers enticing extras in club-level rooms, but even standard rooms are a rich reward after a hard day of sightseeing. Come here for the best health spa, pool, and gymnasium of any New Zealand hotel.
