Frommer's Review
Germany has never seen a hotel quite like this. The two replicas of the golden Oscars guarding the door set the tone for Berlin's first cinema hotel. The soundproof rooms are all dedicated to the big heroes or the beautiful divas of the screen -- from Marilyn Monroe to John Wayne, from Audrey Hepburn to Humphrey Bogart. Right on the famed shopping street and the former "main street" of West Berlin, the movie-inspired hotel plays up film tie-ins, going from High Noon to In the Heat of the Night. The most spacious and the best accommodations here are apartments with a kitchenette, balcony, or terrace, each dedicated to a classical movie with a film scene painted directly on the wall. The hotel even has a 100-seat cinema. Rooms are medium to spacious in size, each comfortably and elegantly furnished with full, first-rate bathrooms. Accommodations are spread across six floors.
