Cheticamp -- A handful of motels service the thousands of travelers who pass through each summer. The inn also manages nicer suites and apartments scattered throughout the town; inquire if you're interested in something larger, or with cooking facilities.
Ingonish -- A number of serviceable cottage courts and motels are located in this area. The recently expanded Glenghorm Beach Resort in Ingonish (tel. 800/565-5660 or 902/286-2049) has 90 units on a spacious property that fronts a sand beach. Some rooms feature painted cinder-block walls, and the decorating is a bit dated, with avocado and gold hues that recall a bygone era. Options include motel rooms and efficiencies, along with ten cottages and ten elaborate suites. Prices are C$89 to C$129 (US$71-US$103) for the motel rooms, C$130 to C$190 (US$104-US$152) for the cottages, and C$299-C$399 (US$239-US$319) for the suites.
