This big Victorian inn painted, well, cranberry, with a wide veranda at the front overlooking the harbor, is a local landmark. Inside, the Victorian theme and cranberry red continue with opulent period furniture and floral wallpaper. The 7 units are each decorated to fit their own theme; greens, yellows, and greys from a tartan pattern dominate Isle Royale, while a ship’s wheel and nautical knickknacks appear in The Captain’s Den. Most rooms have fireplaces and Jacuzzis, others skylights in sloped ceilings. Because of an open stairwell, this property is not suitable for children.
