Frommer's Review
This golden-yellow, century-old clapboard home is conveniently located in the village, a block off the main street and overlooking fishing wharves, the blue waters of the harbor, and, across the way, the Fortress of Louisbourg. The inn's lustrous pine floors have been nicely restored, and all the guest rooms are tidy and attractive, with some fussier than others. The best rooms are on the third floor, requiring a bit of a trek; Room 6 is bright and cheerful; Room 7 is very spacious and boasts an in-room Jacuzzi and a pair of rockers from which to monitor the happenings at the fish pier. A nice touch: All rooms facing the harbor have Jacuzzis. Room 1 and Room 3 also have private balconies. Dinner is occasionally available by advance reservations to guests in the first-floor dining room. A three-course meal (entree choices typically includes steak, lobster, or crab) runs C$20 to C$30 (US$13-US$20), depending on what's being offered.
