Frommer's Review
This golden-yellow, century-old clapboard home is conveniently located a block off Louisbourg's main street and overlooks the fishing wharves, the blue waters of the harbor, and, across the way, the fortress of Louisbourg. The inn's lovely pine floors have been nicely restored, and all guest rooms are tidy and attractive. Some are fussier than others, but all are comfortable. The best rooms are on the third floor, requiring a bit of a trek: Room no. 6 is bright and cheerful, with a Jacuzzi tub; room no. 7, one of my favorites, is spacious and also boasts an in-room Jacuzzi, plus a handsome wooden bed and a pair of rockers from which to monitor the happenings at the fish pier. Room nos. 1 and 3 also have private balconies and Jacuzzis. A three-course dinner is sometimes available by advance reservations to guests in the first-floor dining room. All in all, an excellent choice.
