In addition to the choices listed in this guide, there are two hostels in the area. The Digby Backpackers Inn (tel. 902/245-4573; www.digbyhostel.com), at 168 Queen St., is newish and quite good. Run by an international couple, it offers dorm beds for C$25 a night and double rooms for C$60; all bathrooms are shared, but breakfast is included with the rate. The Brier Island Hostel (tel. 902/839-2273; www.brierislandhostel.com), on Brier Island, offers beds for C$18 adults, C$9 children 6 and under.
