Getting There

If you're driving, take D186 west from St-Malo to Dinard. SNCF trains go only as far as St-Malo; from there, take bus no. 10 that departs from the St-Malo rail station daily for the 20-minute ride to Dinard. The one-way fare is 1.50€ ($2.20). Buses arrive from many large cities in Brittany, including Rennes. For information, call Compagnie T.I.V. (tel. 08-10-35-10-35). Between April and November, Compagnie Corsaire, Gare Maritime de la Bourse, St. Malo (tel. 02-23-18-15-15), operates ferryboats from St-Malo to Dinard. The trip takes 10 minutes and costs 4€ ($5.80) one-way. During the same months, the company operates a ferry from Dinan to Dinard. The trip takes 90 minutes and costs 20€ ($29) one-way. A taxi to Dinard from St-Malo is another option; it costs 22€ ($32) during the day and 30€ ($44) after 7pm and on holidays. For information, call tel. 02-99-46-75-75.

Special Events

From early June to mid-September, musique-et-lumière adds the drama of floodlights and recorded jazz, pop, or classical music to walks along the city's flowered seafront promenade du Clair-de-Lune.
