If You Have 1 Day -- Begin the day by viewing the spectacular water fountain, the Jet d'Eau, and the Flower Clock in the Jardin Anglais. Then take a cruise of Lake Geneva on a steamer. Return in the early afternoon and explore the Left Bank's Old Town. Have dinner at a restaurant on place du Bourg-de-Four.
If You Have 2 Days -- Spend the first day as above. On the second day, visit some of the most important museums of Geneva, each completely different. It'll take a full day of sightseeing to absorb the most important: the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire, the Musée International de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge (Red Cross Museum), and the Palais des Nations.
If You Have 3 Days -- Spend the first 2 days as outlined above. On your third day, take our walking tour of Geneva in the morning, and in the afternoon go on one of the organized excursions to the Alps, including Mont Blanc, for a panoramic view.
If You Have 4 Days -- Spend the first 3 days as suggested above. By now you're an old hand at finding your way around Geneva, and you can use your last days for excursions. While still based in Geneva, take a lake steamer to Lausanne. You'll have time to explore its Old Town and walk its lakeside quays at Ouchy before returning to Geneva in the evening.
If You Have 5 Days -- Spend days 1 to 4 as above. On the fifth day, take a lake steamer to Montreux. After visiting this lakeside resort, take a trip outside the town to see the Château de Chillon, immortalized by Lord Byron.
