Frommer's Review
Martin Bodmer's library had long been a place for reflection and research. It was his inspiration and consultation room where he would study the work of great men and women. Upon his death in 1971, Bodmer left behind a collection of more than 160,000 books, manuscripts, autographs, and artworks depicting 3,000 years of world culture. Included in the display are early handwritten texts of Homer, illuminated manuscripts of the Bible, a manuscript of Grimm's Fairy Tales, and a 15th-century version of the Nibelungenlied. The exhibition also has the first printed versions of Cervantes's Don Quixote, Newton's Principa Mathematica, Goethe's Faust, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, James Joyce's Ulysses, and works from Dante Alighieri and William Shakespeare.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
