Planning a Trip

Getting There -- Limoges has good train service from most regional cities, with direct trains from Toulouse, Poitiers, and Paris. Fifteen trains depart daily from Paris's Gare d'Austerlitz for Limoges (trip time: 2 1/2 hr.); the one-way fare is 50€. For complete train information, call tel. 36-35 or 08-92-35-35-35. Bus transit in and out of the small towns and villages nearby can be arranged through the Régie des Transports de la Haute-Vienne, place Charentes. If you're driving from Aubusson, take D941 west for the 1-hour trip.
