Telling you about Cicciolina is a hard decision. It's difficult enough to get a table at this wonderful place, which doesn't take bookings, without encouraging more people to line up. But I'd be depriving you of a terrific night out if I kept quiet. So let's just say that if you are looking for somewhere that's intimate, crowded, well-run, and has superb but simple food, you should look no further. You may have to wait for an hour or so for your seat (have a drink in the back bar, and they'll call you) but it will be worth it for delights such as yellowfin tuna carpaccio soused in lime-infused olive oil, beef carpaccio crusted with mustard and coriander seeds, or -- my favorite -- spaghettini tossed with spinach, chile, and oil.
