Frommer's Review
A 10-minute walk from the city, this interesting hotel feels like a basic B&B, though a total refurbishment in 2002 gave it a better look. From the outside, it resembles a terrace building, but inside it's a maze of corridors and rooms. The staff is very friendly. The least expensive economy rooms are for backpackers only. They have two single beds and a hand basin; there's barely enough room to swing a backpack. Pricier executive rooms are light and spacious, with double beds or two twins as well as en-suite bathrooms. The 15 or so deluxe quad rooms have double beds and two singles. There is a 24-hour reception desk, free luggage-storage facilities, and free use of the safety deposit boxes. A cooked breakfast costs A$14 (US$11/UK£5.60) extra. Check the hotel's website for really good deals.
