There aren't any cutesy costumed animal characters walking around in the lobby and no ersatz safari rides either, but there are similarities between the kitschy Zoo Hotel and a themed Disney resort. Zoo Hotel is close to the Osijek City Zoo and it extends the wild animal theme everywhere it can, from imitation animal-skin furnishings to a restaurant that specializes in wild game dishes. Otherwise, it's a hotel built in 2007 that focuses on functionality: Rooms are minimalist, utilitarian, and with enough elbow room to stretch out. You won't need a tram to get to the zoo, either.
