The town's two main shopping neighborhoods extend around Calle Meléndez and the historic borders of Plaza Mayor 29. Both areas are good bets for fashion and housewares. If you're looking for handicrafts, head for Artesanía Hernández, Calle Conde de Cadarrus 21 (tel. 92-312-07-98), whose inventories represent most of the trades that used to proliferate in the region around Salamanca.
