Tasty nouvelle cuisine has made this restaurant a local favorite -- especially for lunch. Their fixed-price lunch menu can include stuffed calamari or lamb chops with rosemary and a run through the salad bar, which, with the wine and dessert included, makes $9 (£4.50) seem like a steal. Gatopardo specializes in Chilean and Mediterranean cuisine, though other influences, such as tacos and steamed mussels, have made their way onto the menu. The airy, handsome interior is lit by a glass atrium supported by giant oak trunks felled by an earthquake in the south of Chile.
