This is hands-down Santiago's best restaurant for sushi, principally because of the quality and freshness of their fish, and the fact that they don't run out of harder-to-get varieties like tuna. Owned and operated by Japanese immigrants, this is Chile's oldest Japanese restaurant, and it sits across from the Hotel Nikko. On any given day at least half the clientele are visiting Japanese -- a good sign the food hits the mark. Also on offer are udon soups, tempura, teriyaki meats, and so on. The restaurant has a handsome sushi bar and table seating. To get here, from the Baquedano Metro station, head south on Vicuña Mackenna and turn right on Baron Pierre De Coubertin street.
