Frommer's Review
Taking its cue from Northern Italy and New York (yes, its name was borrowed from the NYC neighborhood), Nolita specializes in cuisine from the former and style from the latter. The El Bosque neighborhood is often referred to as "Sanhattan," and so a restaurant like Nolita only makes sense with its cosmopolitan atmosphere, generous service, and refined cuisine created by a chef with roots in the U.S. What I like about Nolita is that the chef is adept at creating haute cuisine that isn't so haute that it leaves you yearning for comfort food. Try a rich pasta such as king crab cannelloni, or even better, their shellfish platter, a veritable Roman feast of smoked salmon, crab legs, scallops, shrimp, and ceviche, and save room for one of their delectable desserts. As prices shoot through the roof at other high-end eateries, Nolita remains reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. You'll need reservations booked days in advance on weekends.
