Acclaimed as the best restaurant in this historic city, this winning choice is only 200m (656 ft.) from the cathedral and has been turning out a savory cuisine for 3 decades. The food is enjoyed as much by locals as by visitors. The decor is tasteful and inviting, and the location is right next to the Church of Santa María Salomé. The well-crafted cuisine is made from first-rate ingredients. Tuck into the freshly caught merluza (hake), which is served with a delectable sauce. The scallops with Spanish rice are a delight, as are the giant prawns filled with smoked salmon. The zesty kettle of fish stew is the city's finest. You can also order a well-flavored loin of beef or even steak tartare. To finish off the meal, the chef makes a smooth dessert. It could be an utterly delightful cheesecake studded with bilberries, or it could be an almond tart. You'll want to pay homage to the pastry chef.
