Lying in the vicinity of the cathedral, this hotel is a delight and a most inviting choice for those who can't afford the steep tariffs of Hostal de los Reyes Católicos. What makes the place so special is that each of its midsize, well-furnished rooms is named after a different international artist and decorated in the spirit of that artist. Rooms honor Rodin, Dante, Vivaldi, Gaudí, Picasso, even Charlie Chaplin. The Picasso Room has two reproductions of his paintings, including one from his so-called "blue period." The accommodations are decorated in an old Spanish style, with hardwood floors, wrought-iron double beds, and recessed windows with beveled shutters. All units contain small but tidily arranged private bathrooms with shower, a few with tub as well.
