This well-run hotel is on Porta de la Peña, one of the seven doors leading into the medieval sector of Santiago. The traditional, glass-fronted building is located at one of the loftiest points in the city. Midsize guest rooms have Galician styling, with carved wooden headboards and stone accents. The rooms manage to look classical yet modern. The tidy bathrooms come with both shower and tub. Breakfast, served with a view, features such Galician delights as cheese with honey, almond cake, and homemade toasted bread.
