Sensitively restored, this farmhouse/manor dates from the 1700s. It's located 7km (4 1/3 miles) to the south of Santiago, about 15 minutes by car if there's no traffic. You're welcomed by the hospitable proprietor, Mayka Iglesias, who offers six rooms in the main manor plus five more spacious accommodations in a converted stable. Guest rooms are beautifully and traditionally furnished, and come with handsome bathrooms with tubs or showers. Madam Iglesias has maintained her ancestral family living room so that it's filled with antiques and interesting objects; it opens onto a stunning garden. There's even a "bamboo walk." Nearby, in another converted house, is the Restaurant Roberto. Traditional Galician dishes with home-grown products are served here.
