Located in a dominant position above the town (3km/2 miles away by free shuttle service), this modern hotel more than compensates for the distance with breathtaking views, kind and attentive professional service, and the quality of its accommodations and amenities. We love the atmosphere here and the management's care for details. Public spaces are welcoming, with plenty of arches and pleasant curving lines, including in the swimming pools. The hotel's annex -- Villa Aminta -- is a completely renovated 18th-century structure housing a few additional rooms a hundred yards away from the main building via a garden path. Guest rooms are all equally bright and tastefully decorated with modern furniture. Some are more spacious than others, but all have modern and scrupulously clean bathrooms; many have balconies affording great views. The restaurant is very good, with a magnificent terrace where live music and dancing are often scheduled on summer evenings.
