Many backpackers stay at the Raintree Lodge , but those who opt for the city usually end up at this large barracklike wooden structure with a long sunroom across the front (it can get hot in the afternoons). It's a friendly establishment with dormitories, basic rooms, a rudimentary communal kitchen, a TV lounge, and hand-wash laundry facilities. Bed linen is provided, but bring your own towel or pay a small deposit to use one of theirs. You will have to pay a refundable key deposit, too. Showers have both hot and cold water, and the rooms have fans that operate from 4pm to 7am.
