A Great Scenic Drive -- Another Toledan highlight is the Carretera de Circunvalación, the route that threads through the city and runs along the Tagus. Clinging to the hillsides are rustic dwellings, the cigarrales of the Imperial City, immortalized by 17th-century dramatist Tirso de Molina, who named his trilogy Los Cigarrales de Toledo.
