Hotels in Toledo
Given Toledo’s popularity, hotel rates are surprisingly low compared with Madrid prices—even for exclusive lodgings. Because so many visitors make it a day trip you can often pick up bargain accommodation if you decide to stay on. There are plenty of opportunities to stay in characterful historic houses located within the old city, and luxurious properties across the river offer wonderful views of the famous skyline. Prices rise sharply during the city’s main fiesta when the Corpus Christi processions fill the streets, usually in June. The city gets extremely hot at the height of summer and stone cold in winter. Spring and fall are the best times to visit.
