This is the more appealing of the two Mercure hotels that stand almost adjacent to each other in the heart of Toulouse's historic central zone. Built around 1850, this hotel is constructed of the distinctive pink-toned bricks cherished by local preservationists. Mercure has radically upgraded the hotel's interior, transforming it into one of the most up-to-date middle-bracket places in town. Most bedrooms are a comfortable size, and in spite of their chain format, furnishings are agreeable. Bathrooms have tub/shower combos. The hotel has no restaurant, but guests can easily migrate a few steps to the Mercure St-Georges , for standard French cuisine.
