By Coach (Bus) -- Both InterCity (tel. 09/623-1503) and Northliner Express (tel. 09/307-5873) pass through Warkworth and Whangarei several times a day. By Car -- Warkworth is about 1 hour north of Auckland; Whangarei is 2 hours away. The highway between Auckland and Whangarei has a high incidence of accidents, so drive carefully. If you need a rental car, the major companies have offices at the airport.
