Urbano 116

Chef Alam Méndez Florián brought this Oaxacan-style restaurant to the heart of Old Town, but you'll feel like you're south of the border once you step inside. The restaurant's interior has a beamed ceiling, brick walls, cozy booths, leather bar seats, neon signs throughout, and a large mural backdrop dedicated to Mexico’s theatrical professional wrestling pastime, lucha libre, with several luchador masks (traditional Mexican wrestling masks) on display. The menu is all about traditional Oaxacan cuisine, from tacos to hearty entrees like include short rib smoked for 72 hours, grilled swordfish, carne asada, and smoked pork belly. Wash it down with a margarita, sangria, or one of Urbano 116’s specialty cocktails, like the Michelada, a Mexican-style Bloody Mary made with Pacifico beer.
