Getting There

By Train -- Since the nearest train station is in Cornuda, a 17-minute bus ride away, buses are a better bet. There are a dozen trains into Cornuda daily from Padua (40-60 min.). From Treviso there are only three direct trains (30 min.), at 8:23am, 12:33pm, and 5:28pm, but you can get 1 of 20 or so daily trains to Montebelluno (20-30 min.) and change to 1 of 14 trains on to Cornuda (a bit over 10 min.), though the wait may be anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour.

By Bus -- A dozen buses (tel. 0423-493-464) run daily from Bassano del Grappa (25 min.), and about 10 daily from Treviso (tel. 0422-577-311; 55 min.). Buses stop at Asolo's Ca' Vescovo station on the main highway down in the valley, from which frequent shuttles climb the long hill into the Old Town.

By Car -- From Padua, take SS47 north to Bassano di Grappa, and then drive east to Asolo on SS248. From Treviso, take the SS348 to Montebelluno, and then the SS248 west.
