But the main reason to come here is for the Michelin-two-star cuisine of Jean-Michel Lorain. Each recipe is a work of art: foie gras with endives and sweetcorn in a consommé of Lapsang souchong, and coconut bavarois with jasmine cream and exotic fruits are just two dishes that display Lorain’s love of mixing flavors from around the world. A more relaxed, more affordable bistro is here too (Wed–Sun 12:30–2pm), with the emphasis on healthy eating.
