Restaurants in Ayios Nikolaos

Ayios Nikolaos and nearby Elounda have so many restaurants that it's hard to know where to start or stop. Consider location and atmosphere; those factors have governed our recommendations below. If you're looking for just a basic taverna with traditional but tasty food, the Trata, on the Akti Pangalou overlooking the town's Kitroplatia Beach; standing at the port and facing the open sea, walk around the harbor to the right and then take a right onto Milou Street; follow that to the beach front and you will see the Trata on the right.
