The Miramar is attractively located right next to the Montjuïc i Llobera Botanical Gardens, overlooking both the city and the port. Built by distinguished architect Oscar Tusquets for the 1929 World's Fair, it was recently restored and converted into a hotel, retaining the style and charm of the original while introducing bright, avant-garde decor and state-of-the-art amenities that include well-equipped conference rooms, one of which is integrated into the hotel's gardens. The comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms all have en-suite bathrooms and terraces and enjoy garden or panoramic sea views. Some have wheelchair accessibility. At mealtimes the Forestier restaurant, adjoining the former palace's Patio de los Naranjos, filled with orange trees, provides a creative blend of Catalan and international dishes.
