Non-meat eaters were thrilled when Teresa Carles opened this innovative “flexitarian” eatery a few years ago, and it was an immediate hit. It’s not exclusively vegetarian, but its original and healthful dishes with clever names (one is called “Don’t Call Us Tacos/No Digas Tacos”) are a relief from the jamon-heavy cuisine of most traditional restaurants. The soaring dining spaces are handsome—be sure to check out the upper level terrace. Go for the gluten-free pizzas and yummy curries, but skip the desserts, which try too hard and often fall flat.
